A Little Touch Of Thailand In Australia!
I’m at the time of the year again when I am getting ready to go on my summer jollies, off to a land filled with sea, sand, sun, beautiful colors, lots of fun and amazing food. To help prep myself for gearing up to leave I thought it would be cool to showcase a project that is all about good food, lots of color and a whole lot of fun and character, that is exactly what we get with today’s feature project and I think it is fantastic.
Tanoon Mai is a Thai restaurant and although from the images below you would expect to see this in the Sukhumvit district of Bangkok it is actually based in Chatswood, Australia. Designed by Vie Studio this is a project that had me won over from the first moment I saw it, inspired by the hawker tradition of Thailand the restaurant is all about eclecticism. The blend of colors, the murals, the illustrations and the floor and ceiling patterns are wicked, what impresses me most about all of these elements is how they all come together perfectly. Not too much of one or too little of the other, the Goldilocks blend has been achieved…..just right! Enjoy the images below, now I am super psyched about travelling next week 🙂
