A Stunning Example Of What Japan Has To Offer!
Today started with a cheeky wee reminder on my Mac that in 60 days time I will be leaving for a trip of a life time to Japan, I absolutely can’t wait, ever since becoming an interior architect and designer all those years ago, Japan has been the one place that has been on my radar as the must go to place to further my education as a designer.
When asked why it is that I love interior architecture and design in Japan so much I often respond that Japan is the one place the constantly produces stunning designs that standout for their sheer simplistic brilliance. Take todays feature project as a perfect example, the Hair Do salon is based the Chiba district of Tokyo and was designed by Ryo Matsui Architects and it is super awesome.
Now when I say simplistic design, I certainly don’t mean that the design is simply and bland, absolutely the opposite, the real beauty of Japanese interior design is how something that looks so simple on first glance is incredibly intricate and detailed and full of surprising yet delightful features. This is salon is incredible but it’s as far away from simple as can be, it’s actually a very artistic and clever piece of design and one that will hopefully be appreciated in the images below, enjoy 🙂
