Ease Into The Weekly Shop!
Sunday, the beginning of the week and the day I usually set aside for my grocery shopping when I finish work. The inevitable dread of grocery shopping hangs over me most of the day, however I attribute that dread towards poor supermarket design and not the actual experience itself.
Perhaps if more care and time was put into creating awesome supermarkets such as today’s feature project then the experience would be pleasurable and one that I might even look forward to. The supermarket is called Meny Supermarket and is based in Norway. As you would expect, the design has a very Scandinavian feel to it, which we love.
Designed by Household, the space is a gorgeous blend of modern, clean yet organic and Nordic rustic design. I adore the use of the woods in the visual merchandising displays along with the extension of it in the ceiling features. The dry goods units are quite simple yet retain a sense of chic and are far from overbearing, quite tasteful and sophisticated.
The in store signage is gorgeous yet simple and striking and most importantly the design and lighting allows the food to stand out, shine and appeal to the customer. A terrific design and one we hope you love when you see the images below, enjoy 🙂
