Grab & Go In Style!

February 23, 2014

The modern business district is a busy place, especially at lunch time, with so many meetings, comings and goings, grab and go concepts are becoming even more popular, healthy or healthier grab and go concepts are a great alternative to fast food concepts. My one issue with grab and go concepts is that they always have a real boring and clinical feel to them, akin to a staff cafeteria.

Well, my eyes have been opened by today’s feature project, Bluebag is a wicked grab and go style restaurant based in Melbourne, Australia . Designed by Zwei Interiors Architecture, the space is anything but clinical, in fact I would go as far as to say that I find it to be quite cute and dainty but still with a rugged edge.

I love the use of the woods and the gradient effect, I am also a big fan of the use of the blue epoxy resin flooring, I am a sucker for a seamless floor but what I especially like about this floor is how it balances the brand identity and incorporates it into the design, plus it works beautifully with the wood finishes. All in all this restaurant is a very clean and sharp design that takes the grab and go concept up a notch or six and we think it rocks 🙂
