Life Through A Lens!

One of the best things about being a commercial interior designer, or a designer of any mould is the power of creativity and the scope it allows us to have in our projects. My eyes just shoot open when I can get a brief that allows me to use my creativity as much as possible, what I love most is how with some projects a simple idea can lead to such an inspiring and captivating space.

Today’s feature project is another awesome example of where a simple concept has been designed and translated into creating a much talked about and adored space. If someone were to say that they wanted to create a project that focused on selling contact lenses you wouldn’t automatically think of a store that is cool, most likely you would think of a design that is quite clinical or medicinal akin to a regular opticians on the high street.

Adashot by Eyecare designed by Miss Lee Design is a store that completely goes against that boring cliché. This quirky store design is all about the product, the contact lens, everything about the store centralizes around the product, from the clever feature wall that is a nod to the old fashioned eye testing chart to the use of the mirrored ceiling effect that is representative of the contact lenses. Take these two features out of the project and it is just a simple, boring and clinical white space, but add in these two unique features and you get an inspiring store that is much cleverer and so much more creative than the average store. A really clever project that definitely ticks our design boxes, check out the images below to see how these features really lift up the retail space.
