In 2011, Dubai-born interior architect Emma Stinson co-founded Studio EM, this year’s CID Interior Boutique Design Firm of the Year. Ranging from large-scale retail projects such as Candylicious, to food and beverage roll-outs for clients like Five Guys and Wagamama.

Emma Stinson Interiors and her team are currently designing new venues in Qatar for the Five Guys restaurant chain, a grooming salon in Nairobi, and a café in Zanzibar, as well as a big street food market in Kenya, and a number of retail projects in Dubai. The team is also working on a new international headquarters for a leading health brand.

About the power list:

CID recognises the 50 most influential individuals in the Middle East’s design sector in 2016.

Over the last 12 months, these interior, lighting, and furniture designers and contractors have been at the forefront of the region’s industry. Shaping trends with their creativity, energy, and passion.

In updating the list for this year, we have identified those that are starting to build a name for themselves within the market. As well as those that have maintained their positions by staying consistently at the top of their game.

As a result, the 2016 Power List is as diverse as the design industry itself.
