Open The Door To Eclectic Rusticity!

July 14, 2013

I do love a bit of eclectic rusticity especially when it comes about having used reclaimed and recycled materials in the creation of it in a project. Today’s feature project has eclectic rusticity by the bucket full and I think it is fantastic. The project is called the Bon Restaurant and is based in Bucharest, Romania which is somewhere a lot of cool projects have been popping up recently projects such as the awesome cool Studio EM favorite, Atelier Mechanic.

It’s quite apt that we mention Atelier Mechanic as the same designer, Corvin Cristian, designed Bon along with Vlad Vieru. The project contains over 200 reclaimed doors as well as windows and blinds, these were all used to create a funky wall-paneling feature that is guaranteed to capture the eyes of everyone who dines at Bon. This is the main feature, the showstopper, but in saying that they are supported beautifully by the eclectic furniture, the mishmashed flooring and the raw exposed lights. All of these elements really propel this project forward as a stunning example of eclectic and rustic interior design; check out the images below to see what we mean and admire the array of doors on show.
