Resurrecting My Love For Industrial Awesomeness!
I was starting to worry that the whole “industrial warehouse” design era was being overdone and underdone in two different respects, overdone in the sense that it is everywhere I look and underdone in the sense that so many attempts at getting the look have been rather far from the mark and sometimes just plain nasty and cheap.
Thankfully though every now and again I come across a wonderful project such as Code Black in Melbourne that restores my love for the industrial warehouse trend. Designed by Melbourne based agency Zwei Interiors Architecture this project is a blend of industrial rustic awesomeness and chic polished finishing.
This a project that is anything but half hearted and this comes across in the quality of the finishing through the images below, this is obviously a project where the designers, client and contractor have “done it right”, bought into the concept and created a project of the highest standard and not like so many of the half assed and darn right tacky rip offs that pay lip service to the design trend that have become so prevalent in the design world lately. On a side note away from my rant I have to point out that I absolutely love the kitchen design and the patisserie display areas in this project, it really lifts the project up and gives it a more higher end feel, it’s polished yet still quite industrial. Check out the images below and drink in the awesomeness of this project slowly and savor it.
