Retro Chic Hotel Design From QT Sydney To Make You Swoon!
As the end of January looms over us it is that time of the year again when our minds look forward into the distant future with thoughts of the summer holidays. As such this is usually the time of the year when the research begins into everything from flights to cars to hotels. My favorite bit of this research is of course the hotel research, both as an interior architect and as a travel junkie. Whilst looking at possible destinations for myself I came across today’s awesome feature project in Sydney, Australia.
The QT Hotel chain has featured on this blog before and it is testament to their sleek, chic and boutique design awesomeness that they feature again. Not only is the QT Hotel in Sydney absolutely stunning it also acts as another wicked example of retro chic design, something that we previously predicted would be a big trend in the interior design industry during 2013. The QT Hotel in Sydney is a design collaboration between Nic Graham and Shelley Indyk and boy have they done an exceptional job in creating a boutique hotel that exudes warmth, charm, character and refrained sophistication. What I also love about this hotel is that it is completely different to the QT Hotel on The Gold Coast, there is little crossover and that is one of the key features of being a designer boutique hotel.
Check out the awesome images below and see how this hotel has a slice of design loving in every element, from the rooms to the reception to the restaurant to the lounge, the changing rooms at the bars, the best compliment I can give this design would be to say that each of these areas could stand alone on this blog as being a project on their own rather than part of a collective, this hotel really is retro chic design at its best.
