The Designer Bakery!
As Ramadan is coming to an end it’s fair to say we are becoming a bit obsessed with food and food outlets, I for one am really looking forward to being able to once more, sit in a café have a coffee and grab a delicious pastry during my mid morning break. Thinking about this got me on to today’s feature project.
I was thinking about my trip to the UK recently and all of the wonderful bakeries that I went to and thought about how there was a growing trend in the “designer” bakery. Bakeries today are changing and in many ways, changing for the better. Take today’s project as a prime example.
The Das Brot. Bakery in Wolfsburg, Germany is absolutely gorgeous and gorgeous because of it’s refined vintage yet contemporary artistic design. Designed by Munich based firm Designliga, this space holds lots of yummy details that really get by taste buds and my design buds going. I think the floor detailing is fantastic, it’s a real feature especially when balanced against the quirky ceiling feature, keeping this ceiling feature white was a great decision as it really helped to extenuate the flooring.
The lighting features are very attractive even thought they are quite subtle, the furniture is gorgeous, those crisp lines and funky shapes are real eye catching design pieces and for me the final major highlight is the old menu boards and display counters, they really help to bring an old school sense of authenticity to the project. Check out the images below and see why this designer bakery is a real winner in our eyes!
