Vroom Vroom Retail From Ferrari!

November 5, 2012

Having spent most of the past weekend soaking up the sights and sounds of the Yas Marina Circuit and the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 as well as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, I simply had to do a Formula 1 inspired blog post. The trick is I wasn’t too sure as to which store to feature until I put the question to the office and to a tune the guys all said that it had to be Ferrari, so here it is, one of the latest Ferrari stores to come out of Milan in Italy.

The store was designed by Massimo Iosa Ghini and he explains the concept below:

The store strives to be not only a shop but also a place that merges Ferrari’s history and spirit. It is a place where forms, finishes and materials express the explosive soul of the world of car racing and luxury. Fluid lines define the shop’s simple yet expressive design inspired by Marinetti’s futuristic aesthetics. This elegant conceptual futurism is underscored by the sense of movement induced with modern multimedia, creating at once a space that evokes the fluid lines and forceful dynamism of the Ferrari racecar. It is thus that Ferrari’s corporate identity is perfectly offset by the design and architectural language selected for the showroom.

Fluid lines and futuristic aesthetics, well you can say that again, this concept store has both in abundance and much like the Formula 1 car I saw over the weekend this store is sleek, clean and seriously attractive. So there you have it, Ferrari doesn’t just design awesome cars, they have awesome stores too!
