We Will Never Tyre Of Great Sustainable Design!
Ever on the lookout for new and innovative ways of creating awesome and sustainable interiors allows us to come across some rare gems in the interior design world. For the past week or so we have been looking at creating a salvaged office project by using tires as our inspiration and design focus, because let’s face it, in Dubai there are plenty of spare tires lying around. Our research brought us to the wicked Cool Hunter website and we found this awesome feature on a new jewelry store in Berlin, Germany.
The store called Bow Berlin was designed by Berlin based designer Neels Kattentidt. Like our office project this space is heavily influenced by the humble tyre which is something you would definitely not expect to find when discussing jewelry and leather fashion pieces, in fact, the phrase chalk and cheese comes to mind. Nevertheless in this space the combination works brilliantly, perhaps because the space has an industrial edge to it with the location being in an old railway district and it being covered in our favorite type of finish, yummy exposed brick. The store looks quite minimal and effortless but for us this is the real beauty, it is so unassuming, so humble and down to earth, this is something that can’t be said for a lot of stores in this genre.
