Nicola making waves:

Commercial Interior Design Magazine: This month kicked off the awards season. Commercial Interior Design Magazine ran an awesome feature that sees our head of F&B become a cover star. We’re over the moon with this feature where Nicky has made it onto the front cover along with seven other very talented young designers.
The feature was called “Future Leaders” which undoubtedly these young designers are. Sadly Nicola didn’t manage to pick up the accolade, however, what a month it has been for Nicola. To feature on the cover. Nicky was shortlisted for the young interior designer of the year. She designed an amazing new restaurant in Abu Dhabi which just opened and without a doubt, the highlight of all, having one of her food heroes, Marco Pierre White giving her his seal of approval for her Marco’s New York Italian in Abu Dhabi!
That’s not a bad month, is it? So here’s to our awesome Head of F&B Design. Congratulations and we look forward to even more awesomeness in the future.

NICOLA FAHY, STUDIO EM
Nicola Fahy joined Studio EM as an intern and quickly rose through the ranks. A promotion to head of food and beverage design this year highlights her growing importance at the boutique practice. While Fahy’s expertise is undoubtedly in the restaurant scene – just look at the four Wagamama branches she wrapped up recently – her capabilities extend far beyond this space: the 2,400m² Namshi office and the temporary HQ for Skydive Dubai demonstrates an increasingly diverse repertoire.
Emma Stinson, owner of Studio EM, says Fahy’s skills are “unquestionable” and adds that it is the leadership qualities and ability to go toe-to-toe with clients that makes her stand out. “She backs herself and I love it. “What she has done for the younger team members has been wonderful. She has fostered a mentoring role and a leadership role where she truly empowers those around her.”
